Is the iPad Mini Worth the Price?

iPad mini next to an iPad with Retina Display. Both are
brand new.
Well we have been gone for quite some time reworking the structure and quality of our site. So we appreciate all of you who have stuck around with us. We have the best readers on the net hands down.

So lets talk iPad mini shall we? So I have had my iPad mini since late Friday on launch day and I have been trying everything imaginable to find a flaw with this device, anything at all to keep me from fully recommending this tablet. I didn't find much at all.

Size

By far, one of the best things about the iPad mini is the fact it is so small. This is by far one the most stunning devices I've ever held. The overall size is perfect for books, magazines, and internet articles like websites like this. Without a doubt this iPad feels the best in your hand, especially for long sessions of reading, which is what most people want from the iPad mini.

Display

Apple has come under a lot of fire for not adding retina display to the iPad mini with claims that Apple has "dropped the ball" or "lost their step." However, after several days of use, yes, I do notice my iPad isn't Retina, but its pretty darn good. REALLY GOOD. It has a much higher quality screen than that of the iPad 2, which people continue to compare the mini to. Bottom line, this is an excellent small tablet, one of the best i'be ever used, so you shouldnt be swayed by the negative reviews based on the screen, BUY IT! But if you are one of those people that needs a Retina display or fear Apple will update the mini come spring time, then don't buy it, simple as that.

Internal Specs

It is amazing how much people think that the iPad mini is just awful. Awful specs, awful screen, awful price. That is all I hear. Really now? Tell me again how an iPad you've never held is so bad? Riiiiight, because of blah blah specs that the mini doesnt have versus the Nexus 7. Seriously, is this 2004? Nope. However, the iPad mini ranks pretty comparable to the iPad 3 rather than the iPad 2. While the iPad mini does have an A5 chip that is dated, there is nothing that the iPad mini can't do that the iPad 3/4 does. Again, the media has been slamming the iPad mini for being out-dated from day one. But the iPad Mini is faster and better built for the future than the other A5 chip powered iPad. Don't be afraid to take the leap, it is worth it I promise.

Should I buy This?

Yes! Yes you should buy this iPad. This is best build iPad, best portable iPad, and if Apple had thrown in Retina somehow, then without a doubt this would have been the most popular iPad. Who knows, this still could dominate the iPad sales in the coming months. Nevertheless, this is an iPad worth your time and more importantly your money.
