Retina iMac, iPad Mini, iCloud Beta Previews and More!

iCloud.com receives beta functions, preview for iOS 6.
This past weekend has been full of excitement with injunctions of the Galaxy Nexus, MobileMe shutting down, and Apple settling with Chinese company Proview Technology over the name iPad used in China. The exciting trend continues to roll as this week more news is flowing out with rumors of updated Macs, iCloud updates, and another iOS device possibly joining the family. Lets check it all:

  • Updated iMacs. Yes, once again iMacs are at the forefront of the news with rumored updates. After the release of the next generation Macbook Pro with Retina, every Mac that could potentially updated to Retina display has been rumored to be sporting the new display with the next update of each product. This does make logical sense that Apple would do this considering the same strategy has been implemented on the iOS side of things. DigiTimes and CultofMac are reporting that iMacs are indeed coming to the market this October. So get your popcorn ready for jaw dropping displays to watch your Netflix on.
  • This weekend Apple rolled out Beta's of iCal, Reminders, Notes, and Find my iPhone on iCloud.com. The goal here is to further add functionality to iCloud and the 125 million users that use iCloud on a daily basis. With MobileMe taking the axe this past weekend, it is no surprise that Apple is looking to further push the features of iCloud. Look for all of these Beta previews to be ready this fall with iOS 6.
  • Once again, iPad Mini reports and rumors are flowing in. Reports have Apple announcing a 7 inch, $300 iPad Mini with Retina display, either WiFi or WiFi+ 4G LTE along side a new iPhone and/or iPod this september. As reported here, making an iPad Mini makes sense on one hand, but on the other, doesnt make any sense at all. But if you really like a 7 inch tablet, having an iPad Mini would be a dream come true.
