iPhone 4S Cases!

Ok, so you got your new shiny new iPhone and you want a case on it to protect it, and rightfully so. Most cant use the case they had on their iPhone 4 or have never had an iPhone so a new case is needed. Of couse this problem of the case not fitting only applies to Sprint and AT&T because Sprint users havent ever had an iPhone and the iPhone is now similar to the CDMA iPhone 4 so sorry AT&T. I am on of those guys that needed a new case for my AT&T iPhone 4S and I knew exactly what I wanted which was an Otterbox Defender. But what about other cases out there? Here are the top cases for the new iPhone 4S!

  1. Lifeproof iPhone 4S case. This thing is life proof, its a lot like the otterbox in many ways, but it is waterproof as well. If your looking for total protection, this case is for you. However there are 2 negatives to it, one is the price which is at a steep $69.95 online and thats a lot of money on just a case. The second negative, I am just not sure about it being water proof. As in, if its water proof, it doesnt allow anything in, or out, which is bad. If the iPhone gets hot and keeps on getting warmer, that can affect the performance of your battery in the long run, which isnt good. Obviously, its your call, but if you need total protection from everything, look no further. Price: $69.95
  2. Otterbox Defender for iPhone 4S. This case is built specifically for the iPhone 4S which means the top of the phone is more open for the proximity sensor. Other than that, the only real changes from the iPhone 4 case and the iPhone 4S case is the silicon rubber case around the Otterbox's hardshell which seems less sticky, which is good for pockets and seems less likely to stretch out and wear out as well. Price: $49.95
  3. Case-mate Barely There Case. This is basically what the name claims, its almost not there and gives you decent coverage without feeling any coverage. Whats even better? It comes in 21 colors and is really cheap for an iPhone case. Price: $24.99
  4. Otterbox Commuter Case for iPhone 4S. Yes, I am back on the Otterbox bandwagon only because they offer some great cases that are hard to match. This is basically a really slimmed down version of the Otterbox Defender case with lots of protection minus a screen protector on it. All in all, another solid case. Price: $34.95
  5. Sorta reluctantly, Apple's Bumper Case. I say reluctantly because I am not a huge fan of Apple's Bummer, especially for the price of $29.00. It provides minimum protection, and thats about it, mainly, it keeps your iPhone from sitting on a flat surface and getting scratched up and protecting the buttons/antenna. Other than that, nothing much else to say. Again, Price: $29.00

All in all, this is my top 5. Certainly there are others out there and you are welcome to try them out and let me know, I might try one too. But if your looking for a case and you are undecided, any one of these 5 choices will be good ones, whether you want a case to hook on your belt, Otterbox Defender, or minimum protect, Apple's Bumper case. Whatever your needs, one of these cases can cover that need. If you use another case that you prefer and its not on this list, comment below. Also, questions, comments, concerns, put them below as well and dont forget to follow me @AppleGuesser on twitter (which is now my new username, same account though). As always, Peace!

  3. It looks great and amazing, I just still have concerns about it getting too hot. But it does protect your iPhone from everything.
